ARTWORK
Introduction
When we meet, and later when we discuss your images, I will guide you through the choices of papers, canvas and display alternatives for your chosen artwork. Much of the this is outlined below and for those unfamiliar with fine art prints these notes should guide you through the process and give you better idea of what to expect of your finished artwork.

Photo Editing
Your chosen photos will effectively be ready immediately for glicée printing, but I will carry out some checks before sending to be printed so that the image matches the colour ICC profile of your print media. This ensures the closest possible colour reproduction when printing. I use professional fine art printing experts that combine print on demand excellence with rapid turn around and who will deliver direct to you.

Printing
Glicée fine art printing is a print method using specialist pigment inks and acid-free papers to create exhibition and archival quality prints with excellent depth of colour, contrast and tonal range across the whole colour gamut that are exceptionally stable to the highest level. Such prints are acceptable to galleries and museums and can be printed on a wide variety of papers. I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy hanging these exquisite prints that will last longer than a lifetime.
Papers & Canvas
For stunning fine art photography I have naturally chosen some of the highest quality papers and canvas available and these include Hahnemühle, German products that are considered widely as the very best for photographers and artists alike:

Hahnemühle German Etching is a heavy art paper at 310gsm. It has a wonderful textured tactile, matte finish and is superb for high contrast prints. The paper is a warm white, ideally suited to fine art photography.

Hahnemühle Photo Rag is only slightly lighter at 308gsm and again a matte paper with a natural white tone that gives excellent saturation of blacks. It has a soft feel and is only lightly textured and thus produces very high quality prints. Rightly it is popular with professional photographers.

Smooth Art Paper is a further fine choice of art paper for photography. At just 240gsm it is the lightest, and cheapest art paper I've specifically chosen. It has a lovely smooth matte finish with just the slightest fine grain. Digital photographs are vibrant with vivid colours.

Hahnemühle Photo Lustre at 260gsm is a specialist photo paper with a modern, semi-gloss velvety finish. Whilst not as incredibly long lasting as the art papers it does produce good stability and fade resistance in prints. Colour saturation is terrific and at this weight the paper stands above your usual photographic prints.

Hahnemühle Monet Canvas This superb canvas is for discerning clients looking for the perfect combination of digital photography with fine art. It is a premium, fine textured, 100% white cotton canvas that achieves spectacular image sharpness and colour tones throughout the whole colour gamut. 410gsm.

As a point of note on environmental responsibility, all the prints use water-based inks and sustainably sourced paper or wood from FSC-approved forests.

Mounting & Framing
Displaying your printed artwork to its most effective usually involves mounting and framing. Papers and canvas can be framed and indeed a fine 'floating' frame around a stretched canvas print can really lift the artwork and is well suited to photography prints.
There are a range of frame choices from classic, lightweight wooden frames, to moulded frames that emphasise the photography. Standard mounts are 'conservation grade' and either snow white, off white or black card.
We are also able to put you in touch with a highly experienced local framer who can create entirely bespoke frames. Trusting the experience of an expert to bring out the very best in your photo when we are unable to directly provide the frame you have in mind.

Alternative Displays
Today there is an almost bewildering wide choice of media on which you exhibit your artwork. I have chosen some of the more suited media for exhibiting your images from our Country Life Studio photo sessions.

Acrylic Panels Cosmopolitan, dramatic, frame-free wall art perfect in the modern setting for hanging your artwork. The 10mm thick acrylic glass is scratch and water resistant, high-gloss perspex that is durable and protects from UV light that could otherwise make the image fade. It will remain fresh for many years.

Dibond is a composite material of 3 layers that is just 3mm thick and offers a super lightweight alternative to aluminium for custom photographic prints. Again it is a wonderful contemporary option for displaying your artwork that provides high image quality and durability. Colour saturation is created by use of glicée printing techniques and the finish can be matte, satin or gloss. Dibond can even be hung outside.
